My love for the drug surpassed my love for anything or anyone else. I left my husband, lost the house and the car, and my son went to stay with my parents. I moved to Pensacola, Florida, with a man who was abusive in multiple ways. The fear and loneliness and defeat that I experienced was all-consuming and I didn’t see a way out.
